Meet your photographer

@rensageclarke on Instagram. If you need to stalk. I get it.

I’m Ren—the face behind Ren Sage Film. Glad you’re here. My peers would claim I’m a dedicated lover of older times. I bought a mid-century modern home, my entire wardrobe looks like a theatre’s costume department, and I find solace in novels and antiquities. I recently graduated from WVU in 2025 with my Master’s degree in English Literature (focusing on Medievalism) after getting my Bachelor’s degree in English with minors in History and Art History in 2023 (what else is one to do with a fixation on reading and who survived childhood on the validation of their English teachers?). My leisure time entails losing myself deep in my current read, walking my furry best friends, Henry and Charlie, hiking (barefoot) amongst nature, enjoying some hotdogs and fries from Hometown Hotdogs (don’t forget the chocolate milk), or foraging through my local antique shop with a ice cold can of Coke in hand and my partner, Max, trailing close behind hauling my finds.

My photography is fueled by art, film, literature, and romanticizing minute happenstances. Think theatrical. Dramatic. Warm. Like laying on your grandparent’s plush living room floor. The moment you hear the click of a VHS tape after fully rewinding. Witnessing the precise second the stage curtains begin to reveal the actors. Sort of the strange director filming a burgeoning star eager to be on the screen. Ultimately, I want to lead you through the labyrinth of nostalgia and memory with photographs that will reliably, continuously bring you back in time.
